Building Toilets and drinking water facilities at schools in India

This is the state of a toilet at Government Boys Higher secondary school in Madhavaram, Chennai. This school with about 700 students still operates with this dysfunctional toilet which not just impacts the kid’s personal hygiene, but also has emotional and educational impacts. Children often fall sick due to infection and they are not able to come to school. AIFI is raising funds to work with the school managements to refurbish three such toilets at three different schools and also build three new toilets for schools that do not have a toilet.
